A list of things you should be doing in your life right now to make you happy and healthier, how many apply to you?
1 Eat primally
Common sense dictates the best diet is one based on foods we’ve been eating the longest in terms of our time on this planet.Studies show that a primal diet made up of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, fish, is best for overall health and weight control and managing diseases like diabetes and heart disease.
2 Keep hydrated
Water makes up two-thirds of the body and performs a multitude of functions, including acting as a solvent, carrier of nutrients, temperature regulator and body detoxifier.Keeping hydrated can have a major effect on energy levels as well.
3 Eat mindfully
Some things to think about here are avoiding eating when distracted, eating slowly, and taking time to taste your food properly, focus on chewing your food thoroughly as well, take your time.
4 Get plenty of sunlight
Sunlight and the vitamin D this can make in the skin is associated with a wide spectrum of health benefits including a reduced risk of cancer, heart disease, and osteoporosis.But don’t forget the sunscreen and hat!
5 Get enough sleep
Sleep has the ability to optimize mental and physical energy ( about 8 hours per night ) and has been linked with reduced chronic diseases.
6 Practise the art of appreciation
Modern-day living tends to be aspirational and we easily find yourself chasing an ever-growing list of goals, many of which can be materialistic.Some of us could focus on what we do have and don’t spend time chasing what you don’t have, it’s a never-ending cycle.Our mood can be lifted by looking at a beautiful landscape or a graceful sunset, sunrise.Or simply the people around you, simple really!
7 Practice random acts of kindness
Random acts of kindness are good for givers and receivers alike.It’s a great habit to get into and again it usually doesn’t cost a thing, it’s better to give than receive.
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present.
