Kettering Trampolinist soaring high after British championship winby Dyna Graham, Sep 2018
While most of us used to use trampolines as a place where we could try and break our best friends necks as children, some people see a it as a means to achieve more successful ends. One on these people would be Kettering girl, Brodie Hove-Coleman, who claimed gold at the British Championships in Birmingham this past Sunday.
The 15 year old won her third title in the Elite Women’s age category of 15 – 16. Humbly, she stated that “I’ve got great competition, so its always good to win.”
She hopes too qualify for Worlds in Russia in November, which would mark her fourth appearance in the competition.
The participant’s ages ranged from juts 9 years old to the 32-year-old former world champion in the discipline Kat Driscoll. The competition featured around 500 participants from 80 different clubs.
Other notable competitors included team GB silver-medallist Bryony Page, who became the first British gymnast to win a medal in Rio 2016.
With this success, we can imagine Brodie will be flying high on the back of her win, however, trampolining is a competitive sport and other contestants will be itching to bounce back in time for the World Championships in March 2019.
