What to do in Chesterfield:by Caroline Hardy, Apr 2019
Hardwick Hall & Gardens
The beautiful houses and absolutely breath-taking landscape will leave you wanting even more at the Hardwick Hall & Gardens. The estate was built in the late 16th century and since then, farmers, carpenters, gardeners and builder shave all chipped in and done their part to make this estate not just aesthetically please, but a testament to what you can accomplish through teamwork.
This is the perfect place to go for a picnic with the family, or perhaps a date with a special someone. With the winding footpaths and trails you won’t want to find the end of, one may even be pleased with getting lost in this valley! Visit the ancient beech and oak woodlands or even settle into a spot of fishing; this is a natural delight you won’t want to miss!
