National “Read A Book” Dayby Janine Campbell (Chester), Sep 2018
September 6th, is National Read Book Day. With the kids back in school, hopefully you’ll find some time to put up your feet and get lost in a great story today! Here are our teams top picks:
Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, Gail Honeyman – Soon to be made into a feature film, this beautifully written easy-read really warms the heart! It’s a quirky story with some great thought-provoking moments!
The Retreat, Mark Edwards – If you’re into more of a thriller with a twist, this is the one for you. A creepy page-turner which will leave you questioning reality! Rated 4.5 stars on Amazon, this spine-chiller will have you hooked!
The Cows, Dawn O’Porter – A fiercely female book, which will have you laughing each time you turn the page! Poignant and moving, this book looks at friendships in a brutally honest and comical way. A nice easy read!
Chase the rainbow, Poorna Bell – A candid, brave and raw book, with a heap of bittersweet moments. This ones a tear jerker and you won’t be able to put it down!
We love a good book to help us unwind, we hope you enjoy our suggestions! What are you favourite reads?
