A very ‘well polished’ evening!

by Janine, Feb 2018

The 27th January saw Well Polished host our very first awards dinner… and to say it was a success would be an understatement!

In previous years, we’ve held annual conferences as a way of celebrating the success of the previous year. Whilst the more business minded setting was great for a time, with the company expanding and growing so rapidly, the head office team felt that 2018 needed more of a bang!

The decision was made to hold a black tie event and I’m happy to report that all of our wonderful franchisees truly embraced the style and class of the evening. Everybody was looking swish whilst toasting their champagne to not only the success of Well Polished as a whole… but also to their own personal achievements – with some real outstanding performances.

After a review of the fantastic year that was 2017, and a look ahead to how exciting 2018 is shaping up to be, it was time for the awards (which everyone was looking forward to!)

There were 6 awards in total and they were as follows:

Sales Conversion
Runner-up: Oxford (Crista Sanderson)
Winner: Bishops Stortford (Jackie Macdonald)

Client Retention
Runner-up: Bishops Stortford (Jackie Macdonald)
Winner: Shrewsbury (Joanne Tracey)

2017 Growth
Runner-up: Knutsford (Nicola Gore)
Winner: Oxford (Crista Sanderson)

Director’s Special Award
Winner: Julie Kempson (Crawley)

Best New Franchise
Winner: Oxford (Crista Sanderson)

Franchise of the Year
Second Runner-Up: Sandra Venables (Liverpool)
Runner-Up: Crista Sanderson (Oxford)
Winner: Jackie Macdonald (Bishops Stortford)

Julie, who won our director’s special award, was awarded the accolade for inspiring so many ‘out of territory’ sales! This lovely lady lives outside her area, but manages to run her very successful franchise in Crawley effortlessly! Her story proved it was possible and since then, we’ve sold 10 territories to franchise owners who live up to 200 miles away. We must applaud Julie on her sheer tenacity and determination.

A special mention must be given to the lovely Crista in Oxford who only started her franchise in April 2017 and yet managed to storm through the year winning FOUR awards – included best newcomer AND second runner up for FRANCHISE OF THE YEAR!

But of course, we have to bow down to Jackie in Bishops Stortford who won the coveted ‘Franchise of the Year’ award for the second year running! Jackie is a force to be reckoned with, yet is such a humble, friendly person who is sometimes unaware of just how amazing she is.

Congratulations to ALL our winners – well deserved and definitely a goosebumps #GIRLPOWER moment seeing all the fabulous ladies up on stage with their awards. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again… WHO RUN THE WORLD? GIRLS!

Thank you to everyone who attended. We can’t wait till next year!
