Senior Management Team
Sandra Venables, Sales & Marketing Director Sandra Venables, the founder of Well Polished, started her business career in the optical industry, where she gained experience at many different levels. She eventually settled into the sales side of the industry, covering a large area of the UK. Sandra’s ability to empathise with her clients meant that she consistently exceeded her sales targets and she decided she would like to capitalise on this strength by starting her own business. In 2004 Sandra established Well Polished, initially working from her home on the Wirral. The company has created over one hundred positions for cleaners in its local area and in 2005, Well Polished was recognised for its achievements by Business Link, who presented Sandra with an award for outstanding success after just eighteen months of trading. The dramatic growth of Well Polished in the Wirral area has continued, resulting in a large number of enquiries outside the serviceable area. As a natural progression Well Polished (Franchising) Ltd was formed.
David Venables, Operations Director & Company SecretaryOn leaving school David served an Engineering apprenticeship. He stayed within the engineering supply chain as a salesman, progressing to Senior Sales Manager with an instrumentation manufacturer, Westlock Controls. His role there involved appointing and supporting distributors of Westlock’s products and services. In particular, one of David’s tasks was to help the distributors to increase their sales and service levels, an assignment that now translates very closely to his role with Well Polished Franchise Owners. As a natural progression from managing the sales side of a business, David later moved into regional General Management roles with Dutch manufacturer, Econosto, and then the UK market leaders in the Engineering Supply Chain, BSS and Wyko Industrial Services. These roles encompassed all aspects of running a small business with full Profit and Loss responsibility. David now employs this hands on management experience within Well Polished (Franchising) Ltd as Operations Director.
Michael Campbell, Finance DirectorHaving held senior positions within the Property, Finance and Recruitment sectors, Michael formed de Poel Consulting Limited in 2001 to offer an independent service to blue chip clients using large numbers of agency staff. Since it’s inception, de Poel has seen phenomenal growth through the introduction of innovative products and services and currently has an annualised turnover in excess of £200 million. Elected Group Chairman in 2006, Michael holds several other Directorships in the Property, e-commerce and Business Service sectors. In 2007 Michael joined the board of Well Polished (Franchising) Limited as Finance Director, bringing a wealth of business experience together with a proven track record in helping developing businesses to achieve their full potential. His experience is now shared with Well Polished Franchise Owners to ensure they have the best opportunity to realise their ambitions within our proven business model. |
